How To Improve Your Social Media Marketing Efforts in 2015

So, you’ve been told for while your business needs a social media presence. Maybe you’ve already made a little progress in your campaign, but aren’t seeing the results you’ve hope for. However, this year you really want to take your social media efforts to the next level.

In this post we’re going to explore what you can do to improve your social media presence this year and expand into new territories.

1. Set A Goal And Plan

Setting a goal will help you to define where you want to be in the future. It can be something simple, like increasing the number of likes or shares, but it needs to be something you can measure. Every social media post will be geared towards making this goal come true.

After your goal is set you’ll want to set up an editorial calendar which will help you to keep your customers happy with a steady stream of content. You’ll also want to have a schedule for your posting as well.

2. Give People A Reason

You want to give people a reason to follow you. A great way is to give away social media specials, such as, coupons that are only available for your followers. This will help your current customers engage more on your pages and give new subscribers a reason to follow.

Don’t be afraid to get creative and test out offers on your subscribers and followers.

3. Create A Conversation

Social media is more than simply a means to post information directly to your followers. Think of social media as a two-way street. Try to nurture a conversation by asking questions and always responding to answers or comments as they come up.

By conversing with your customers you’ll be able to uncover valuable information about how you can serve them deeper, which will make your business even more valuable to them in the future.

4. Always Be Creating

The most important part of your strategy is creating content on a regular basis that’s entertaining and serves your readers. By constantly churning out amazing content you’ll be able to feed your current subscribers and grow your social reach.

Sharable content should be the foundation of your new social media strategy. However, don’t just write for clicks, make sure your content is shareable but also has substance.

I hope you’ve found this post effective and now have a greater idea of how you can improve your social media presence. Social media doesn’t have to be difficult, all it takes is a plan and follow through.
