If you’ve been blogging for any time at all, but haven’t been seeing any results for your business then it might be time to take a hard look at your blog and blogging strategy. Your blog may work fine from a technical perspective, and even look quite beautiful. But, if your blog isn’t brining you new leads, or helping increase your traffic, then there’s a problem going on. Here are some tips to fix Fix Your Broken Blog.

In this post we’re going to take a look at five of the most common blogging mistakes that are ruining your blog.

1. Lack Of Clear Focus

Your blog needs to exist for a specific purpose. A lot of blogs simply have rambling posts that don’t provide any true value to the reader. The purpose of your blog shouldn’t be to distribute your innermost thoughts to the world, it should be to provide value to your reader.

You must define the sole reason you’re starting a blog in the first place, and not stray from that path.

2. There’s No Strategy

Simply posting a post up on your blog isn’t going to get you the traffic you’ve been looking for. Aside from having a content creation plan, you also must have a plan for promoting your content.

All of these aspects of your blogging strategy need to be working in conjunction.

3. You’re Not Educating

Are you simply using your blog to promote your products, or to continually try to get your readers to buy your products. If that’s all your doing, then no one is going to come by and read your blog.

Your blog exists to provide value to the reader. This can be in the form of education, entertainment, or storytelling. But, whatever strategy you choose you need to have your ideal visitor at the front of your mind.

4. You’re Forgetting Your Customer

Do you actually know who you’re blogging to? And no, whoever reads your content isn’t the market you’re trying to reach. In order to reach your target market you need to define who they actually are before you even start creating any content.

Think about your customers and what their needs are, and create content accordingly.

5. There’s No Call-To-Action

Even though the goal of your goal shouldn’t be direct sales. You still need to ask and tell your readers what action to take every once in a while. The best way to conclude each post with a subtle call-to-action that alludes to your services.

That way you won’t be turning off any visitors, and you’ll still be promoting your offerings. We hope you liked our Broken Blog tips.
